Leopoldo's Obituary
Leopoldo Morales, 85, of Grand Junction died Sunday, March 6 at home.
He was born March 20, 1925 in Caracuoro, Michivaian, Mexico to Felix and Jesus (Villagomez) Morales. Leopoldo married Rafaela Martinez 61 years ago on on May 5, 1961. He worked as a construction worker and factory worker in Chicago for 15 years before coming to Grand Junction. Leopoldo also worked on Blueberry Farms with his son and family members for the past 8 years. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford, Michigan. He enjoyed playing cards and Dominos.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife – Rafaela Morales of Grand Junction, Michigan. 2 sons – Lencho (Carolina) Morales and Sigifredo (Maria) Morales. 5 daughters – Cruz (David) Morals, Paula (Estreberto) Morals, Maria Luisa (Alfredo) Morales, Ana Maria (Artemio) Morales, and Santos (Marcial) Morales. 40 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Leopoldo is from a family of 20 including 6 brothers in America – Aureliano Morales, Cregencio Morales, Rafael Morelas, Petromlo Morales, Arturo Morales and Misael Morelas and 2 sisters in America – Rosa Morelas and Selia Morelas.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 12 from 8:30 0 10:30 A.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
