Charles's Obituary
Charles W. Brennan, 81, of South Haven died on February 25, 2011 at South Haven Health System. He was born on July 7, 1929 in Mattawan, Michigan to Henry and Eva (Bloner) Brennan. Charles worked for Van Buren County Road Commission for over 40 years. Charlie was a member of the Michigan National Guard for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Michigan Trappers Association and the National Trappers Association. Charlie was an avid trapper and outdoorsman. He trapped from age 8 to this year. Charlie’s greatest joys were being with his family and being outdoors.
Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years – Christine Brennan of South Haven, Michigan, his son – Jeffrey (Denise) Brennan of Van Meter, Iowa, his daughter – Kimberly (David) Booko of Three Rivers, Michigan, and his grandsons – Joshua and
Zachary Brennan and his granddaughter - Brenin Booko.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother – Thomas H. Brennan.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 5 from 11-1 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm with the Rev. John Booko officiating. Military Honors will be presented at the end of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Trappers Association, 19245 Frost Road, Merrill, Michigan 48637.
