Belle's Obituary
Belle Reznik, 92, of South Haven died Monday, February 14 at River Ridge Retirement Village in South Haven.
She was born September 13, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois to Meyer and Jennie (Berman) Fishman. The family moved to South Haven in 1929. Belle graduated from South Haven High School in 1936. She married Simon Reznik on October 24, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, and knitting. She was a member of the South Haven Yacht Club, South Haven Country Club and the Maritime Museum. She was a member at First Hebrew Congregation, B’nai B’rith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Simon Reznik who died in 2001, three sisters, and five brothers.
She is survived by three daughters- Myra (Michael) Silver of Greeley, CO., Joan (Frank) Overton of South Haven, MI., Andrea (Robert) Johnson, of Paw Paw, MI. Seven grandchildren- Marc (Debra) Overton, Kathryn (Jon-Paul) Dougherty, Tracy (Jeremy) Hiatt, Stephen (Heather) Johnson, Kimberly (Andrew Griffith) Johnson Messenger, David (Marnie) Silver, Andrew (Leaza) Silver. Eighteen great grandchildren- Alison and Cameron Thaler, Simon and Charleston Hiatt, Makenzie, Spencer, Carter and Mallory Dougherty, Maggie Overton, Thomas, Zachary, Claire and Chase Johnson, Chelsea Messenger, Noel and Holly Griffith, Brennan and Emmeryn Silver.

Visitation will be from 1 – 2 pm on Friday, February 18 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin Friday at 2:30 P.M. at the First Hebrew Congregation Cemetery in South Haven with Mr. Lou Price officiating.
