Ron's Obituary
Ronald E. Sicard, 75, of South Haven died Thursday, February 3 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
He was born December 21, 1935 in South Haven, Michigan to Walter and Phoebe (Davis) Sicard. He graduated from South Haven High School in 1955. Ron served his country in the U.S. Army. Ron married Nadine Jackson on May 25, 1963 at the First Congregational Church in South Haven, Michigan. Ron worked as a machine repairman for Bohn Aluminum for 41 ½ years retiring in 1995. Ron was a former member of the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church. Currently, Ron is a member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church of South Haven. At the church Ron was a member of the choir, a challis bearer and a leader of healing prayers.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his brother – Cortland Sicard and two sisters – Marthilda Kelley and Shirley Darling. Son-in-law – Michael Todd also precedes him.
He is survived by his wife – Nadine Sicard of South Haven, Michigan. Three daughters – Mitzi Todd of Bangor, Michigan, Phoebe (Troy) Jorgensen and Penny Sicard both of South Haven, Michigan. Six grandchildren – Margaret Todd, Michael Todd Jr., Matthew Todd, Alicia Wioskowski, Heather Jorgensen and Cameron Jorgensen.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 8, from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with The Rev. Andrew Gross officiating. Burial will take at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township. Memorial contributions can be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 529 Humphrey St., South Haven, MI 49090.
