Harriel Idus's Obituary
Harriel Idus Griffin, 74, of South Haven died Thursday, January 20 at home.
He was born February 12, 1936 in Clay County, Alabama to Idus and Hattie Mae (Latham) Griffin. Harriel married Elnor Fay Suggs on November 17, 1981 in Caly County, Alabama. Harriel owned and operated Griffin and Sons Automotive Repair for several years.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his son – Harriel Griffin who died in 2000.
He is survived by his wife – Elnor Fay Griffin of South Haven, Michigan. One son – Charles Junior (Georgiana Marie Ransom) Griffin of South Haven, Michigan and one daughter – Debbie Sue Morgan of Lake City, Florida. Sis grandchildren. Six brothers – Howard Griffin of Alexander City, Alabama, James Griffin of Mumford, Alabama, Charles Griffin, Jonney Griffin, Hurley Griffin and Herbert Griffin all of Ashland, Alabama. Four sisters – Catherine Griffin and Kattie Mae Griffin both of Linenville, Alabama, Mary Griffin and Wanda Griffin both of Alexander City, Alabama.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 23 from 2 – 4 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Rob Renberg officiating. Burial will take place at Monks Cemetery. Kindly share your thoughts and memories on the family’s online guest book at www.FilbrandtFFH.com.
