John Edward Jackson, 57, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, formerly of South Haven, died Monday, December 27 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1953 in Troy, Alabama to John Henry and Julia Mae (Brazen) Jackson. John graduated from South Haven High School in 1973. He furthered his education in Kansas City, Missouri. John worked for National Motors, Bohn Aluminum and for Therm-Tech as a furnace Operator in Wisconsin. John married Cynthia Johnson on March 17, 2006 in Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his brother – Richard Long and nephew – Macker Jackson.
He is survived by his wife – Cynthia Jackson of Waukesha, Wisconsin. 7 children – John Jackson of Los Angeles, California, James Jackson of Traverse City, Michigan, Julius Jackson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Erica Jackson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Rose Jackson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Danielle (Kenneth) Morrison of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Demetrius (Michelle) Johnson of Mattawan, Michigan. His former wife – Joyce Jackson of South Haven, Michigan. 16 grandchildren. 3 sisters – Rosa Lynn Jackson of South Haven, Michigan, Dianne (Tyrone) Whitfield of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Renee (David) Johnson of Bloomingdale, Michigan. 4 brothers – Michael Jackson of South Haven, Michigan, Jimmy Jackson of Bangor, Michigan, Gene Jackson of South Haven and Billy Lee Long of Miami, Florida. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Wake will be form 12 – 1 on Saturday, January 1 at the Church of Christ. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Rev. Simon Harrington Officiating.
