Mack's Obituary

Mack Roosevelt Merriweather, 76, of Covert Died Tuesday, October 19 at home.

He was born May 2, 1934 in Jackson, Tennessee to Lawrence and Gussie (Robinson) Merriweather. Mack served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 1958.
He married Barbara Pankey in April of 1960. Mack was a truck driver working for Illinois Bell retiring in 1975. Mack was a member of the Masonic Lodge #043.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife – Barbara Merriweather of Covert, Michigan. Two daughters – Cheryl Merriweather Ward of Calumet City, Illinois and Brittany Merriweather at home. 2 Grandchildren – Donald Ward of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Chloe Ward of Calumet City, Illinois. Great granddaughter – Amaria Ward of grand Rapids, Michigan. Three sisters – Elder Mamie Beamon, Verlena Merriweather and Betty Lampkin all of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Wake will be Wednesday, October 27 from 11 – 12 at the Gospel Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 12:00 P.M. at the church with Rev.
