Charles's Obituary
Charles Strickland Sr., of South Haven died Monday, October 4 at home.
He was born April 7, 1938 in Edwards, Mississippi to Harold V. and Loise (Kimbles) Strickland. Charles married Sharon Bailiff on March 16, 2001. Charles worked for Sears Paint Factory in Chicago, Illinois retiring in 1998. He then became a self employed Vegetable Farmer. Charles enjoyed fishing everywhere. He was a member of Great Anointing Bible Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife – Sharon Strickland of South Haven, Michigan. His children – Charles Strickland Jr. of California, Theresa , Cedrick Gilmore, Tyahna Smith all of Chicago, Illinois, Tyeisha Smith of Glendale Hts., Illinois, Bobby Smith Jr., Antwon Smith and Ramon Williams all of South Haven, Michigan. 8 grandchildren. 3 sisters – Mary of Lump Pole, California, Emma Strickland of Gary, Indiana and Alice of Chicago, Illinois. One brother of Chicago, Illinois.
Wake will be Saturday, October 9, from 11-12 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Darwin Johnson officiating.
