Joseph's Obituary
Joseph Franklin Everetts, 83, of Pullman died Thursday, September 9 at home.
He was born October 2, 1926 in Morgantown, West Virginia to James and Olive (Hart) Everetts. Joseph married Ruby Cobb on June 20, 1953 in Oakland, Maryland. Joseph worked in the coal mines and as a lumberjack. He also worked at National Motors in South Haven retiring in 1980. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren. Joseph loved playing cards and antique cars.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife Ruby who died in 2001. 4 brothers – Willis Hart, Ward Hart, Chuck Everetts and Cobb Everetts. Sisters – Viola Smith and Bessie Everetts, Granddaughter – Christie Everetts and great grandson – Joseph (JoJo) Everetts.
He is survived by three children – Pansy (Chuck) Empson of Pullman, Michigan, Ricky (Patti) Everetts of Morgantown, West Virginia and Joey (Linda) Everetts of Pullman, Michigan. Three step-grandchildren – Vickie (Jon) Merrill, Charles Strong and Mike Lonsbury. Five grandchildren – Richard Lehman and James Lehman both of Holland, Michigan, Amanda Hernandez of Pullman, Michigan, Ricky (Jason) Everetts of Pullman, Michigan and April Everetts of Morgantown, West Virginia. 11 great grandchildren and one brother – Ken Everetts of Reedsville, West Virginia.
Visitation will be Monday, September 13 from 11 – 1 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
