Franklin Edward's Obituary
Franklin Edward Reel, 55, of South Haven died Monday, September 6 at home.
He was born February 22, 1955 in Hammond, Indiana to William L. and Orletta Gertrude (Quigg) Reel. Franklin served his country in the U.S. Navy. He married Charlotte Marie Thorpe on October 20, 1979 in South Haven at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Franklin worked as a self-employed Truck Driver for 20 years before becoming disabled. Franklin enjoyed working on his truck and watching NACAR races. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr. Franklin also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Franklin was a loving husband, son and father.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife – Charlotte Marie Reel of South Haven. Three children – Toni (Paul) Oden of South Haven, Brooke (Paul Lanners) Reel of St. Paul, MN, and Kara Reel of South Haven. Two grandchildren – Kaitlynn Oden and Erica Reel. Four brothers – William “Butch” Reel of Indiana, Dennis (Shirley) Reel of Florida, Rodney (Annette) Reel of Florida, and Everett (Rhonda) Reel of Monroe City, Indiana.
