Lewis Brown

Lewis Brown, 60, of South Haven died Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He was born November 7, 1949 to Estel and Aline (Pollack) Brown in Ridgley, Tennessee. Lewis married Judy Zwiers on Nov. 23,1974 at the Coloma First Church of God. Lewis worked as a truck driver for Michigan Fruit Canners for the past 31 years. He enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, going out to eat with his family and fishing. Lewis loved his grandchild and enjoyed getting together with family.

He is survived by his wife – Judy Brown of South Haven, two daughters- Ginger (Todd) Erickson of South Haven, MI., Rhonda Chamberlain of Martin, Tn., three sons – Lewis Brown Jr., of Tn., Terry (Tracy) Umbenhour of Grand Junction, MI., Steven (Jamie) Pentinga of South Haven, Mi., four grand children locally – Travis and Ronnie Umbenhour, Lindsey Pentinga and Jacob Erickson. Several other grand children from Tennesse also survive. Three brothers – Randall (Annette) Brown, Ralph (Mary Lou) Brown, Dennis Brown. Seven sisters – Virginia (Roy) Dicus, Clara (Wayne) Rainey, Venita (Evart) Redder, Patricia (Dale) Fitzpatrick, Barbara Tosh, Sharon Wilson, Birdie (Rick) Farley, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, July 29, at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, July 30, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Clayton officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
