Audrey's Obituary

Audrey Krader, 78, of Lacota died Monday, May 31 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.

She was born March 24, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Michigan in 1950 and was married to the late William Krader for 41 years. Together they worked hard on their farm which has come to be known as Krader Tree and Blueberry Farm. Audrey was in real estate for 30 years, an associate broker for Carlson and Associates, and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends. Besides selling real estate, Audrey was also involved in the VanBuren County Republican Party for 45 years and was honored with the 2009 VanBuren County Republican Woman of the Year award for her years of faithful volunteering and supporting of the Republican Party. She also served on the Geneva Township Board for six years as a trustee.

She is survived by her son – Kevin Krader of Lacota, Michigan. Sister – Judith Jensen of Glenn, Michigan. Nieces – Karen (Brian) Drummond of Arlington, Texas, Susan (Kevin) Poolman of Glenn, Michigan, Great nephews and nieces – Frank Drummond, Jenny Drummond, Lauren Poolman and Andrew Poolman.

Visitation will be from 6-8 on Thursday, June 3 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 P.M. at the church with Pastor Robert Linstrom officiating. Burial will take place at Chambers Cemetery.
