Eugene Dodd

Eugene Dodd, of Covert, Michigan transcended to heaven at the age of 73 on May 20, 2010 at 10:55 pm. He was born on May 31 1936 to Columbus Smith and Jean Dodd. Eugene received an honorable discharge from the United States Military-Army in 1958. He married Roma Thompson in Chicago, Illinois on April 1, 1960. Eugene lived each day like a day in the military; he was up at sunrise planning the work to be done for the day. His life motto was everything had to be done decent and in order. If you are out of order with God, your life will always be out of order. There is no challenge that can’t be overcome. When we would ask, Daddy what should I do? The first thing he would always ask, Is your house in order? To know him was to love him.

Eugene has joined his parents; his daughter: Ennona Renee Dodd, his son: Errol Dodd, brother: Michael Columbus, granddaughter: Tiffany Thompson and aunt: Audrey Powell.

Eugene leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Roma Dodd, son: Eugene Dodd, daughters: Sunday Brittingham and Michelle Anderson, nephew: Michael Powell and nieces: Karen and Tonya Sides. He was the proud grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grand children.
