Joyce Keith

Joyce Mildred Keith, 79, of South Haven died Saturday, April 24 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

She was born January 13, 1931 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Hillary and Elizabeth (Bradley) Swisher. She worked 25 years at the Mt. Pleasant Sub Division as a child supervisor in the summers and was a store attendant at Natures Country Cupboard in South Haven. Joyce enjoyed crafts. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of South Haven and was the president of United Methodist Women.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her son – Donald Robert Keith who died in 1962.

She is survived by her two sons – David A. (Cindy Gallagher) Keith of South Haven, Michigan, and Alan R. (Barbara) Keith of Las Angeles, California. One daughter – Helen (Tim) Prindle of Fennville, Michigan. Four grandchildren – Amber Keith, Evan Keith, Donny Martin and Larry Martin Jr.. One brother – Larry (Joyce) Swisher of Stevensville, Michigan and two sisters – Dorothea Swisher of Marion, Iowa and Helen (Bill) Trowbridge of Benton Harbor, Michigan also survivors.

Visitation will be from 10 - 11 on Saturday, May 15 at First United Methodist Church. Memorial services will begin Saturday at the church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. John Fisher officiating. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church.
