Jeanette's Obituary
Jeanette M. Sherman, 92, of South Haven died Sunday, April 18 at River Ridge Retirement Village in South Haven, Michigan.
She was born May 24, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Anna (Metke) Sherman. Jeanette worked as a Legal Secretary from 1935 – 1970 at various law firms in the Chicago area. Jeanette moved to Palm Springs, California in 1974 and then to South Haven in 2005. Jeanette enjoyed reading and dancing. Jeanette was a member of The Stroke Center in Palm Springs, California.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her sister – Lillian Disabito and brother – Walter Sherman.
She is survived by two sisters – Mary Ann (John) Matthews of South Haven, Michigan and Margaret Reynolds of Chicago, Illinois. One brother – Edward Sherman of San Antonio, Texas also survives.
A Memorial Mass will be Friday, April 23, at 11:30 A.M. at St. John Fisher Catholic Church (10234 S. Washtenaw Ave.) in Chicago, Illinois. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
