Edna's Obituary
Edna Francis Harring, 86, of Kalamazoo, formerly of South Haven, died Friday, April 16 at Meadow Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomingdale.
She was born October 13, 1923 in Lacota, Michigan to Frank and Winnifred (Cooper) Wilson. Edna married Charles Harring Sr. on March 15, 1944 in New Haven, Connecticut. Edna worked as a bakery clerk for Hardings Grocery Store retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Maple Grove Bible Church.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Charles Harring Sr. who died in 1993. Two brother – Forrest Wilson and Franklin Wilson also precedes her.
She is survived by one son – Charles (Dorothy) Harring Jr. of Oshtemo, Michigan. Two daughters – Lorie (David) Kuhn and Sherry (Joe) Grimes both of South Haven, Michigan. Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One brother – Robert Wilson of Lebanon, Missouri and one sister – Mary Pratt of Lacota, Michigan also survive.
Visitation will be from 6-8 on Monday, April 19 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with Rev. John Hill officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Prostate Cancer Research.
