Marie's Obituary
Marie (Bonkowski) Wagner, 94, of South Haven died Friday, April 2 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born August 24, 1915 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Pauline (Luschinska) Saikowski. Marie married Ray Bonkowski. After Ray’s died, she married Ed Wagner. Marie worked as a factory worker for Adams Electric for 10 years. Marie also farmed for many years. She also attended St. Basil Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her first husband – Ray Bonkowski in 1984 and Edward Wagner in 1995. Her 2 daughters – Joanne Baczkowski and Anne Sakmar. Her twin sister – Julie Klujn, and one step-daughter Jenny Barkley also precedes her.
She is survived by two sons – Joseph (Florence) Saikowski of Fraser, Michigan and Ray Bonkowski of South Haven, Michigan, son-in-law-Andy Sakmar of Shelby Twp., Michigan, Seven grandchildren – Dennis Saikowski, Dave Saikowski, Steve Saikowski, Cathy (Dave) Klebba, Jeff Saikowski, Loretta Sakmar and Michael Sakmar, Twelve great grandchildren – Shelby, Brittany, Haley, Brandon, Jason, Kevin, Ashley, Aaron, Kelly, Justin, Steven and Peter.
Visitation will be Monday, April 5 from 9 – 10:30 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral serviced will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home with Rev.
