William's Obituary
William R. Ross, 79, of South Haven died Saturday, February 27 at Heritage of Old Capitol Nursing Facility in Louisville, Georgia.
William was born March 31, 1930 in Midland, Michigan to Henry B. and Ethel (Fry) Ross. William served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Air Force. William married Marilyn Park on November 3, 1956 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. William worked as a fire fighter for 26 years for the city of Kalamazoo.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Marilyn Ross who died in 2000. Two brother – Markus E. and Bud Duane Ross and one sister – Betty Jane Ross.
He is survived by his son – Michael D. (Alicia) Ross of Grovetown, Georgia. Alicia’s mother – Jinny Sanders. Granddaughter – Lisa Schreinerand great granddaughter – Kianna Boose. Two nephews - Scott Marquis and Steve Marquis, and two nieces - Shelley Snyder and Sally Lorton, and a cousin - Barbara Prewozniak also survive.
Visitation will be from 6-8 on Thursday, March 4th at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Hollebrands.
