Delmer's Obituary
Delmer Morris, 85, of Grand Junction, Michigan died on January 2, 2010 at Grace of Douglas in Douglas, Michigan. He was born on October 15, 1924 in Flora, Oklahoma to Herbert and Ora May (McDaniel) Morris. He married Lucille Baugus in 1942 in Blytheville, Arkansas. He worked for many years as a farmer.
Delmer is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Barbara Sue Morris in 1956. One brother, Noble Morris and one sister, Opal Baugus.
He is survived by his wife; Lucille Morris of Douglas, Michigan, his sons; Delbert (Betty) Morris of Coloma, Michigan, Donald (Diane) Morris of Riverside, Michigan, Stanley (JoAnn) Morris of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Roger (Tina) Morris of Grand Junction, Michigan and his daughter; Dorothy Jean (Frankie) Benavidez of Laporte, Indiana. His sisters; Violet, Linda, Ina and Mildred and his brothers; Hubert and Charles Ray Morris. 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, January 4 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, January 5 from 12-1 PM with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place Lee Township Cemetery.
