Gordon James's Obituary
Gordon James Ward, 77, of South Haven died Friday, December 11 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born March 26, 1932 in South Haven, Michigan to Ernest and Jessie (Pratt) Ward. Gordon married Pearl (Kenemer) on November 27, 1982 at First Free Will Baptist Church in South Haven. He worked for 33 years at Everett Piano, and then worked at Do-It Corp. for 10 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, and also the South Haven Community Church.
He is preceded in death along with his parents, by his wife- Pearl, one sister- Florence Jennings, and two brothers- Jack Ward, and Herbert Ward.
He is survived by two daughters –Pat (Tom) Nolan of Pullman, Michigan and Brenda Schrek of South Haven, Michigan, and four sons Donald Gann of Haines, Florida; Donald Voss of Endicot, New York; and PrestonVoss of South Haven, Michigan and Mario Gines of Deland, Florida; and one sister- Virginia Johnston of Santa Cruz, California. 14 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren also survive. Two nieces and four nephews also survive.
A visitation will be Tuesday, December 15 from 6-8 PM at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 16 at 11:30 AM
