Patricia Lockwood

Patricia “Pat” Lockwood, 77, of South Haven died Thursday, November 12 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

She was born August 19, 1932 in South Haven, Michigan to Ernest and Gertrude (Sontag) Smith. She married Huram Lockwood on October 20, 1951 at St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven. Pat loved to camp and enjoyed spending time at their cabin north of Atlanta, Michigan. She liked being in the north woods searching for Morrell mushrooms and looking at nature especially the elk. She also enjoyed knitting. She would knitt baby caps for the hospital and scarf’s and mittens she for the giving tree at St. Basil.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her sister – Margaret Andrews and her brother – Bob Smith.

She is survived by her husband – Huram Lockwood of South Haven, Michigan. Two daughters – Debbie (Bob) Chambers of South Haven, Michigan and Sandy (Rich) Smidt of Bangor, Michigan. Four sons – Rusty Lockwood, David (Dorothy) Lockwood, Billy (Ronda) Lockwood, all of South Haven, Michigan, Bob Lockwood of Covert, Michigan. 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. One sister – Shirley Jillson of South Haven, Michigan also survives.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 on Sunday, November 15 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev.
