Philip's Obituary
Philip H. Peterson, 87, died Wednesday, October 28 at River Ridge Retirement Village in South Haven.
He was born February 15, 1922 in Fennville, Michigan to Fred and Leora (Marelius) Peterson. Philip graduated from South Haven High School in 1940. Philip married Mary E. Stuckum on November 22, 1948 in South Haven, Michigan. Philip worked as a Foreman for Michigan Gas Utilities. He enjoyed watching television and crossword puzzles.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Mary E. Peterson and brother William F. Peterson.
He is survived by his three sons – John P. (Danah) Peterson of Portage, Indiana, Robert A. (Janice) Peterson and Donald J. Peterson both of South Haven, Michigan. 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. One sister – M. Joyce (Meryl) Cross of Lawrence, Michigan.
Visitation will be from 2 - 3 on Sunday, November 1 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Harold F. Filbrandt officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery on Monday at 2:30 P.M. Memorial contributions can be made to South Haven Hospice at Home.
