Juanita's Obituary
Juanita Mae Wright, 69, of Watervliet died Thursday, November 19 at home.
She was born November 9, 1940 in Hayti Town, Missouri to Bernath and Lois (Ivey) Clemons. Juanita married Harlan Wright on May 24, 1974 in Berrien County, Michigan. Juanita worked as a packer for Deans Foods for 9 years in Hartford. She also worked at KO Products, Mercy Hospital, and Twin City Plants in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Juanita attended the Watervliet Missionary Baptist Church. Juanita volunteered for the Area Agency on Aging and enjoyed watching TV.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Harlan Wright who died in 2000 and an infant daughter – Rebecca Wright. One brother - Bernath Clemons also precedes her.
She is survived by her children – Deborah (Sonny) Barringer of Watervliet, Michigan, Paul Stout and Eddie Stout both of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Timothy ( Vernel) Wright of Hagar Shores, Michigan. Five grandchildren – Rebecca Wright, Amber Wright, Jason (Hope) Peterson, Kristy Payne, and Wendy Payne. Elevan Great grandchildren- Kassie Payne, Jordan Griggs, Nathan Clouse, Trinity Duncun, Adriana Peterson, Devon Bradford, Steven Bradford, Gabriel Bradford, Tiffany Bodfish, Katlyn Bodfish and Ashley Bodfish. One brothers – Leonard Clemons of Riverside, Michigan. Two sisters – Peggy Dickson of San Antonio, Texas and Lois Marks of Stevensville, Michigan. One niece- Janice Clemons and one nephew Jeff Clemons also survive.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 on Tuesday, November 24 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating. Burial will take place at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor.
