Thomas J. Pittsley, 63, formerly of Pullman and Wauchula, Florida, passed away on Monday, September 28 at his brother’s home in Hopkins, Michigan after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born November 21, 1945 in a log cabin in Chatham, Michigan the son of John and Mary (Fisk) Pittsley. Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy having served three tours in Vietnam. Tom made his career as a long haul truck driver. Tom was a life member of the VFW where he has made & met many new friends along the way.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by his step-mother. His son – Lance and two granddaughters – Adrianna & Arianna.

He is survived by his children – Randy Pittsley of Culver, California, Thomas J. (Ruth) Pittsley of Pullman, Michigan, Tammy Wheeler of Ft. Meyer, Florida and Kimberly Pittsley of Grand Junction, Michigan. 10 ½ grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 5 sisters & brothers – Bonnie (Rich) Smith of Allegan, Dawn Pittsley of Fennville, John R. Pittsley of Plainwell, James R. (Cindy) Pittsley of Hopkins, and Julie Leonard of Allegan. Aunts, nieces, nephews, special cousin – Bill Andrews survive. 2 beloved pet dogs – Baby girl and Phoebe.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, October 10 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lee Township Cemetery with Military Honors.. Luncheon will follow at the Pullman VFW. Kindly share your thoughts and memories on the family online guest book at www.FilbrandtFFH.com.
