Ernest W.'s Obituary
Ernest W. Weber Jr., 73, of South Haven died Sunday, August 16 at home.
He was born February 6, 1936 in South Haven, Michigan to Ernest and Margaret (Graham) Weber Sr. Ernest married Ada E. Porsche on November 20, 1954 at First Baptist Church in South Haven. He worked for Everett Piano Company as a supervisor and foreman for 34 years. He then worked for Perrigo in Allegan before retiring. Ernest enjoyed NASCAR and his favorite driver was Johnny Benson. He also enjoyed his CB radio and the Chicago Bears. Ernest and Ada spent many hours refurbishing piano’s. They also enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching birds together. Ernest enjoyed going to McDonalds for coffee with his friends. Ernest was a member of the Kibbie Christian Reformed Church.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his special uncle – A.J. Watkins and brother –in-law – Bob Schlaak.
He is survived by his wife – Ada Weber of South Haven. One son – Larry Weber of South Haven. Two daughters – Susan (Tim) Worline of Gobles, Michigan and Lori Weber of South Haven, Michigan. Two grandchildren – Amy and Dylan Weber. Two sisters – Beverly Jean Schlaak and Evelyn French both of Holland, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 on Wednesday, August 19 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kibbie Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Gerrit Haagsma Haagsma and Pastor Ken Kruitoff officiating. Burial will take place ay Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Kibbie Christian Reformed Church.
