Robert's Obituary
Robert Alan Munn, 62, of South Haven, Michigan died at home on July 3, 2009. Robert was born on October 31, 1946 to Carson and Velma (Keene) Munn in Allegan, Michigan. He was raised on a farm in the Bloomingdale area and he loved the outdoors.
Bob was a loving, caring, mild-natured person. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping and riding his quad. Over the last twenty years, he also enjoyed working with area blueberry farmers through his job at Michigan Orchard. He proudly served in the Navy and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam.
Bob was preceded in death by his father – Carson Munn Sr.
He is survived by his wife – Dixie Munn of South Haven, Michigan. His mother – Velma (Gary) Foote. His sons – Robert Munn Jr., Tim (Rochelle) Gargus, Chris (Kim) Gargus and Ken (Debbie) Gargus. His siblings – Carson (Pat) Munn, Carol (John) Helm, Jim (Gail) Munn, Mary Hills and Janice Munn. Two step-children - Lisa Dotson and Jeff Boone. His grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive and his beagle – Fletcher.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 18 at 2:00 pm at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating.
