Mary's Obituary
Mary Louise Barber, 80, of South Haven died Tuesday, March 31 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born July 17, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to Russell and Iola (Belmer) Godsave. Mary worked as a nurses aid at South Haven Community Hospital. Mary was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Whiteness where she loved to attend convention and Bible Studies.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Gordon Barber who died in 1989. Her son – Charles Barber in 2007 and her brother - Russell Godsave.
She is survived by 2 sons – Joe Barber and Steven Barber both of South Haven, Michigan. 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. One brother – Ray (Norma) Godsave of Lecanto, Florida and one sister – Chris Albers of Holland, Michigan.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 3 at 1:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Mr. Bill Odebrect officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 – 1 on Friday prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, South Haven.
