Minniebelle's Obituary
Minniebelle Hazel Wark, 98, of South Haven died Saturday, March 28 at South Haven community Hospital.
She was born February 2, 1911 in Morris, Illinois to Walter and Rose (Thomas) Variell. Minnie worked for Overton’s Frame in South Haven for over 20 years. Minnie enjoyed crossword puzzles and she loved her dogs. Minnie enjoyed life and loved people. She was a hard worker and liked to travel.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her son – Donald Dickson Wark in 1992. Her twin sister – Isabelle Harrington, brother – Lawrence Variell and sister – Lucille Newman.
She is survived by her three sons – William (Eleanor) Wark of Trout Lake, Michigan, Eddie Wark of South Haven, Michigan and Roary (Evelyn) Wark of Glenn, Michigan. 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Friday, April 3 from 6 – 8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. E.H. Jeffery officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to South Haven Hospice at Home or Al-Van Humane Society.
