Lawrence Paul Janosky Sr., 77, of Covert Township, died Monday, January 26 at home.

He was born August 16, 1931 in Lacota, Michigan to Tony and Evelyn (Gruber) Janosky. Lawrence served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Lawrence married Gloria Graham on July 25, 1952. Lawrence worked for Bohn Aluminum as a furnace tender retiring in 1996. Lawrence enjoyed coffee at McDonalds and sitting on his porch and watching the world go by.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Gloria Janosky who died in 1996 and his son – John Janosky in 2006. Brother – Earl Janosky also precedes him.

He is survived by one son – David Janosky of Houston, Texas and daughter – Debra (Niel) Tubbs of South Haven, Michigan. Two sisters – Grace Taylor of Bangor, Michigan and Dorothy Stacey of Kalamazoo, Michigan and one brother – Leroy Janosky of Burtchville, Michigan also survives.

Visitation will be Friday, January 30, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Fish Cemetery in Covert Township. Kindly share your thoughts and memories on the family’s online guest book at www.FilbrandtFFH.com.
