Norman's Obituary
Norman Pearce, 83, died January 1, 2009 at his home in South Haven, Michigan. Norm was born on September 3, 1925 in Hamburg, Germany to Richard and Rose (Gruenstien) Polacek. Norman worked for Bohn Aluminum for 30 years. He was a financial secretary for UAW Local 1210 for more than 30 years. He and his wife Minnie owned Distinctive Photography. He was instrumental in starting the Michigan Fly Wheelers here in South Haven. He was a board member of the First Hebrew Congregational Church.
Norm is preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He is survived by his wife – Minnie Pearce, two daughters – Beth Ann Pearce-Davis and Gaylee Pearce all of South Haven, Michigan and one son – Joseph (Kimberly) Pearce of Stuart, Florida. Grandchildren – John Davis, Dennis Davis, Stefani, Seth and Ben Pearce, and two great-granddaughters – Makayla Morfis and Mary Jane Sunshine Pearce.
Graveside service will be Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:30 pm, at the First Hebrew Congregation Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan, officiated by President Lou Price. In lieu of flowers, it was his wish that contributions be made to the First Hebrew Congregation for the Chair Fund.
