Leona's Obituary
Leona Shull, 63, of Benton Harbor died Saturday, December 6 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 28, 1945 in Holy Cross, Iowa to Charles and Laura (King) Welch. Leona was a resident of Michigan for 30 years and worked for Big Lots in Benton Harbor for the past 8 years. Leona was a member of the Fairplain Seventh Day Adventist Church. Leona was loved by many and had a great sense of humor that will be greatly missed. She had a continuing hope in her saving Lord Jesus Christ and looked forward to His second coming.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her daughter – Lori Lynn Lash who died in July 2007.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children; son – Buddy (Kim Priebe) Purdue of Coloma, Michigan and daughter – Tina Trumps of Hartford, Michigan. Grandchildren – Tina (T.J.), Frankie also survive.
Visitation will be Friday, December 12 from 11 – 12 at the Fairplain Seventh Day Adventist Church in Benton Harbor. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 P.M. Friday at the church with Pastor Jonathon Rosengren officiating. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the family, the Seventh Day Adventist Church or the American Cancer Society.
