Lois M.'s Obituary
Lois M. Litts, 86, of Pullman died Tuesday, November 18 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Zeeland.
She was born March 6, 1922 in Ganges, Michigan to Myrtle (Bolles) and Martin Meldrum. Lois married Harry Litts on September 28, 1945 in Ganges, Michigan. Lois worked on the family farm with her husband for more than 40 years. Lois was a member of the Casco United Methodist Church where she once was a Sunday School Teacher. Lois was a member of the Casco Ladies Aid. She enjoyed reading and loved to bake. She was known for her apple, cherry and butterscotch pies.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Harry Litts who died October 15, 1993. One grand daughter – Julie VanBrocklin in 2008 and her sister – Merrial Schollser.
She is survived by her son – Thomas (Margie) Litts of Pullman, Michigan and daughter – Christine (Paul) Scalf of Holland, Michigan. Two grandchildren – Andy (Audrey) Litts and Michelle Litts. One great grandson – Geoffrey VanBrocklin. One brother – Lyle (Joyce) Meldrum of Grand Rapids, Michigan also survives.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, November 25 at 11:00 A.M. at the Casco United Methodist Church with Rev. David Miester officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery.
