William "Bill" Fisher

William “Bill” Fisher, 59, of South Haven died Monday, August 18 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo with his family by his side.

He was born November 28, 1948 in South Haven, Michigan to Walter Guy and Frieda Maude (Dell) Fisher. Bill married Irene on August 31, 1990 at the Casco United Methodist Church. Bill was a retired Sheet Metal worker Local #20 in South Bend, Indiana for 27 years and Local #7 in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 6 years. Bill enjoyed restoring cars, hunting and fishing but he especially enjoyed camping at Camp “No Buck” most of all. Bill also enjoyed spending time with his children and grand children.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by one brother – Gerald Fisher.

He is survived by his wife – Irene Fisher of South Haven, Michigan. Two sons – Mike (Joan Martin) Fisher of Grand Junction, Michigan and Ken (Tonya) Fisher of Palmento, Florida. One daughter – Shelly Jones of South Haven. Six grandchildren – Dominick Fisher, Jenna Fisher, Ashley Mitchell, Brittany Emery, Torey Eastman and Kameren McKamey. One brother – George (Maryann) Fisher of Bowling Green, Florida. Two sisters – Norma (Bill) Storey of Stevensville, Michigan and Evelyn (Dave) Kreigh of Covert, Michigan.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 on Thursday, August 21 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Harold F. Filbrandt officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery, Casco Township. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Bill.
