Edward's Obituary
Edward W. Darling, 86, of South Haven died Wednesday, July 16 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
He was born August 5, 1921 in New Auburn, Wisconsin to Jessie (Lee) and Thomas Darling. He graduated from Covert High School in 1939. Edward married Shirley Sicard on October 19, 1946 at the Church of the Epiphany. Edward served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Edward worked as a Production Manager for Bohn Aluminum for 38 years. Edward volunteered for We Care as the furniture coordinator. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Shirley Daring who died on August 14, 2007. One son – Craig Jeffrey Darling in 1970.
He is survived by his son – Ron (Dawn) Darling of South Haven, Michigan. One daughter – Janet (Charles) Hazen of Charlotte, North Carolina. Two grandchildren – Samantha and Sarah Darling.
Visitation will be Monday, July 21 from 6-8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home with The Rev. Andrew Gross officiating. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
