Kathryn's Obituary
Kathryn Christian, 91, of South Haven died Thursday, June 19 at Bronson Hospital.
She was born February 27, 1917 in Rotterdam, Netherlands to William and Keetje (Oudshoorn) Vos. Kathryn married George Christian on December 14, 1962 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She worked as a medical secretary before retiring. She also was a member of the South Haven Hospital Auxiliary and the American Guild of Organists.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband George Christian who died in 1986; two brothers, John, and Cornelia; and one sister, Hillemiena Visscher .
She is survived by her son, David (Linda) Christian of Bangor, Michigan; one grandchild Chris (Kate) Christian; and two great grandchildren, Meg and Ellie Christian.
Private family burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the charity of your choice.
