Rosina M.'s Obituary
Rosina M. Tippman, 90, of South Haven died Tuesday, May 13 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born January 24, 1918 in Bay City, Michigan to George and Anna (Nitschke) Meier. Rosina married Melvin Tippman on November 16, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan. She loved to garden, cook and read. Rosina attended the Pullman Bible Church and was a former member of the Maple Grove Bible Church and Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Melvin Tippman who died in 1998. Her sister – Irma Landon and brother – Earl Meier also precedes her.
She is survived by her son – Lowell (Janet) Tippman of South Haven, Michigan and daughter – Allison (David) Dunsmore of Hartsville, South Carolina. Five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Two brothers – Clarence (Mary) of Bay City, Michigan and Al (Millie) Meier of Bay City, Michigan. Two sisters – Helen Horn of Sparta, Tennessee and Vi (Al) LaFlamme of Bay City, Michigan.
Visitation will be from 6-8 on Friday, May 16 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Stephens officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to South Haven Hospice at Home.
