Ricky's Obituary
Ricky Evans, 47, of South haven died Wednesday, May 7 at Lakeland Regional Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan.
He was born June 14, 1960 in Gary, Indiana to Steve and Lillie (Johnson) Evans. Ricky enjoyed fishing and flower decorating.
He is preceded in death by his father and one sister – Sandra D. Neal.
He is survived by 2 children – Marquitta Yvette Evans and Ricky L. Evans. both of Gary, Indiana. Mother – Lillie Evans of South Haven, Michigan. Special Devoted Friend – Jacquline D. Thompson of South Haven, Michigan. 4 brothers – Edward (Vivian) Evans of Merrillville, Indiana, Thomas Evans of Pullman, Michigan, Bobby Evans of South Haven, Michigan and Warren Evans of Kalamazoo, Michigan. 3 sisters – Jannie Vaughn of Detroit, Michigan, Vanessa Wright of Hobart, Indiana and Shelly (Fred) Evans of South Haven, Michigan. Aunt – Catherine (Leonard) DeVille of Chicago, Illinois and uncle – Frank (Truenetta) Johnson of Harvey, Illinois. A host of nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 12 at 1:30 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard DeVille officiating. Wake will be from 12:30 – 1:30 at the Funeral home prior to the service. Burial will take place at Chambers Cemetery.
