John Thomas's Obituary
John T. Sloane, 64,of Holland, formerly of Hartford and South Haven, died Sunday, May 4 at home.
He was born September 14, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles C. and Ruth Marie (Stiff) Sloane. John graduated from Bangor High School in 1962. John worked as a book, insurance, and meat salesman.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife – Sharon (McKenzie) Sloane of Holland, Michigan. Two step-sons – Rueben Bruton and Geoffrey McKenzie both of Holland, Michigan. Step-daughter – LaShond Bruton of Atlanta, Georgia. Three grandchildren. Two brothers – Rodney Sloane of Hartford, Michigan and Tony Jacobozzi of Downers Grove, Illinois. Three sisters – Tonda Fistel of Las Angeles, California, Theresa Rosenberger of Wisconsin, and Mary (Jeff) Mack of Downers Grave, Illinois.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 9 at 12:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Pastor Nathaniel Sanders officiating.
