Loren Russell's Obituary
Loren Russell Bennett, 91, of South Haven, died Thursday, April 3, at South Haven Community Hospital.
He was born February 27, 1917 in South Haven, Michigan to Wilbur and Celesta (Merriman) Bennett. Loren married Anna Kiselski on June 1, 1940 in South Haven, Michigan. He worked for Olson Brothers Construction for 10 years, Carlston Construction in Otsego, Michigan for 12 years, Johnson and Klien Contruction of Kalamazoo, Michigan for 12 years.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife-Ann Bennett who died in 2007,a son Wayne Bennett who died in 1962, a sister Beatrice Funk and one brother Erwin Bennett.
He is survived by one son – Ronald Bennett of South Haven, Michigan and one daughter – Diane (Donald) Leslie of Yuma, Arizona, one brother – Art (Mary) Bennett of South Haven, Michigan, one sister Marian Farrell of South Haven, Michigan, two grandchildren – Gail Lynn Leslie and Michelle Leslie and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will take at Chambers Cemetery on Monday, April 21 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Harold Filbrandt officiating.
