Bonnie Rose's Obituary

Bonnie Rose Finch, 62 of Watervliet, Michigan passed away Thursday, March 27 at her home.

She was born on November 11, 1945 to Brinsfield Jones and Maggie (Shaw) King.
Bonnie loved spending time with her family and working at her church, His Place: Cathedral of Faith where she was considered the Mother of her church. Bonnie married Gale Finch on Dec. 27, 1997 at the Inn at Hawkshead in South Haven. Bonnie worked as an insurance billing clerk for Southwestern Medical Clinic in Berrien Center for the past eight years. Bonnie was a collector of ceramic chickens which she has nearly one hundred in her collection. She also was a collector of salt and pepper shakers at one time.
Bonnie had been performing music since she was a little girl. Her music took her to recording two albums with her sisters and two of her daughters. She instilled that love of music in her children. She spent a lot of her life giving to others. She enjoyed helping wherever she was needed and never turned down a chance to lift someone up. She is leaving behind a legacy of her love and devotion to her family and to God.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Gale Finch of Watervliet. Mother, Maggie King of Winnsboro, LA. Four daughters – Connie (Wayne) Davis of Hartford, Theressa (Greg) Ruppert of South Haven, Paula (Robert) Bunn of Paw Paw and Darlene (Dean) Foy of Coloma. A son – Jared (Beth) Knox of South Haven. Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers – Ernest (Bit) Oliver of Winnsboro, Louisiana, Joe (Lynn) Oliver of Jigger, Louisiana. Three sisters – Lena Evans of Ft. Necessity, Louisiana, Joyce Kay (Peyton) Parker and Sandy McMurray all of Winnsboro, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her step dad – Leroy King of Wisner, Louisiana.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 30 from 5 to 8:00 PM at His Place: Cathedral of Faith located a 69556 CR 378 in Covert. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 PM at the church with Pastor Wayne Davis officiating. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet.
