Luther's Obituary
Luther James Bridges Jr., 75 of South Haven died Saturday, March 1 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
He was born April 3, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee to Luther James and Jimmie Lee (Brown) Bridges Sr. Luther worked as a piano maker for many years at Everett Piano until he retired in 1986. Luther enjoyed cooking and was known for his peanut brittle. He was a member of the Masons. Luther loved to fish and travel.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his sister, Margie Bridges.
He is survived by his daughters – Jimmie L. Bridges of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dorothy J. Bridges of South Haven, Michigan. Three step-daughters and five step-sons. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
Wake will be Friday, March 7 from 12:30 – 1:30 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Terry officiating.
