Audrey's Obituary

Audrey Ann Robinson, 76, of South Haven died Monday, February 11 at her home.

She was born July 30, 1931 in South Bend, Indiana to Edward and Regina (Kaizer) Kroll. After high school Audrey attended the Cosmopolitan School of Music in Chicago, Illinois. Audrey married Thomas Robinson on May 7, 1955. Audrey was a full time Mom raising six children. Audrey was a very active member of St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven serving as a reader, cup minister, luncheon coordinator and a member of the Woman’s Service Guild. Audrey also volunteered for Hospice, Mobile Meals, Birth Right, and We Care. Audrey enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved to camp with her family and travel with her husband. Audrey was an avid cribbage player.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by a son – William K. Robinson and by one grandchild – Jonathan Robinson and a son in law, David Weichhand.

She is survived by her husband – Thomas Robinson of South Haven, Michigan. One daughter – Elizabeth Weichhand of Stevensville, Michigan. Four sons – Richard (Tess) Robinson of St. Joseph, Michigan, Thomas (Cindy) Robinson of Dewitt, Michigan, Gerald (Deidre) Robinson of Commerce Township, Michigan and David (Sharon) Robinson of Portage, Michigan. Grandchildren – Sarah, Becky, Laura, Josh, Stephanie, Jessica, Michael, Katie, Nicholas, Maggie, Matthew, Zack and Alyssa. One sister –Georgianna (Edward) Conrad of St. Joseph, Michigan also survives.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13 from 2-4 and 6 - 8 with a scripture service at 7:30 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Father John Young and Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating. Burial will take place at the Calvary Cemetery in Benton Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to South Haven Area Hospice, Birth Right, Benton Harbor Readiness Center, We Care, St Basil Building Fund or a charity of ones choice.
