Birdice's Obituary
Birdice Covey, 92, of South Haven died Tuesday, December 18 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born March 3, 1915 in South Haven, Michigan to Eveart and Myrtle Ann (Binding) Lamphear. Birdice was a member of the St. Margaret’s Guild at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church. She enjoyed spending winters in Sarasota, Florida.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Bernard Covey who died in 1988.
She is survived by one daughter – Sharon (Robert) Overheul of South Haven, Michigan. Two grandchildren – Lori (Doug) Alverson of Holland, Michigan and Jim (Deb) Overheul of Portage, Michigan. 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also survives.
Visitation will be Friday, December 21 from 10 - 11 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home with The Rev. Father Andrew Gross officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
