Carl's Obituary
Carl Lee Brenner passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 9th, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Carl was born on December 23rd, 1952 in South Haven, Michigan and spent most of his life in Casco Township.
Carl graduated from L.C. Mohr high school and Michigan State University, where studied engineering. For over 25 years he and his wife operated Precision Machine Company of South Haven, as third generation owners. Carl loved his profession and took great joy in the friendships he was able to cultivate and maintain with his employees and customers over the years.
Carl has been an active member of his community, the PMPA professional organization, the Casco United Methodist Church, and the South West Michigan Field Trial Club. He retired in the fall of 2005 and was able to spend his last years enjoying the company of his wife and family, the outdoor activities he loved, and tinkering around with whatever tasks he could get away with.
Carl was a sportsman who loved all types of outdoor activity and early morning adventure. He enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada and Alaska but was just as grateful for being able to cast a bobber off the dock at his family cottage. Carl’s passion in life however was his bird hunting dogs who logged hundreds of hours with chasing grouse and pheasant.
Carl leaves behind his wife of 29 years Rachel, his son Jason (Ninilchik, AK), daughter Anna (Brooklyn, NY), son Luke (South Haven, MI), mother Beverly (South Haven, MI), sister Judy Cleborne (San Diego, CA), and sister Debra (Tim) Betz (Breedsville, MI). Carl is preceded in death by his father Robert Jr. and his sister Janine. Carl will be remembered by his family and friends as a mentor and for his generosity, idealism, commitment and strength of character.
