John's Obituary
John Dambrowski, 88, of South Haven died Wednesday, September 5 at Sunset Shores Assisted Living in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
He was born January 22, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Mary (Markiewicz) Dambrowski. John served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. John married Stella Dec on April 1, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. John worked for Whirlpool in assembly for 30 years. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dog Sodie and taking walks on his old farm. John was also a member of the Covert Fire Department for many years.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Stella Dambrowski who died in 1995.Three brothers – Roman, Stanley Dombroski and Eddie Suberla Three sisters – Marie Dombroski, Jenny Johnson and Helen Cox. Granddaughter – Sheana also precedes him.
He is survived by two daughters – Patricia (Donald) Quinn of South Haven, Michiagn and Linda Waligora of Los Osos, California. Two sons – Robert (Lee) Garyof Blue Ridge, Georgia and Michael (Ati) Dambrowski of Canada. 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. One sister – Leona Grable of St. Louis, Missouri also survives.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 9 from 6 – 8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Tim McGee officiating. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens.
