David's Obituary
David Brewer Winfrey, 92, of Covert when to be with his Lord Tuesday, August 28 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
He was born April 9, 1915 in Somersville, Tennessee to William Henry and Sally (Wirt) Winfrey. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of South Haven and served as a deacon. David worked as a tool & die setter for several factories in South Haven area.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by 3 wives – Naomi Roff, Corrine Williams and Fannie Lloyd. Brother – LeRoy Winfrey and sisters – Mary Lou Blackwell, Idella Washington and Sally F. Leavey.
He leaves to mourn two daughters – Daisey Reed of Gary, Indiana and Mildred Reed of Woodbridge, Virginia. One brother – George Winfrey of Memphis, Tennessee.
Wake will be Saturday, September 8 from 10 – 11 at the Gospel Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Henry Allen officiating.
