Edith's Obituary
Edith Marie Willis, 93 of South Haven died Wednesday, July 11 at Heartland Hospice of Holland.
She was born April 24, 1914 in Kibbie, Michigan to Julius C. and Ada Ann (Herring) Brenner. Edith worked for the Golden Brown Bakery for 17 years retiring in 1988. she also worked at the Michigan Fruit Canners. Edith was a member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – A. C. Willis who died in 1972. Her daughter – Pat Wavro in 2005. Two brothers – Robert and Carl Brenner and 5 sisters – Etta Smith, Lima Newton, Nina Newton, Cora VanErkel and Sarah Brenner. Son-in-Law – Victor Wavro also precedes her.
She is survived by two grandchildren – Sandra Morgan of Ft. Meyers, Florida and Terrance (Deborah) Wavro of Douglas, Michigan. Three great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 on Monday, July 16 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Peace Lutheran Church, South Haven Senior Center, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
