Veronica Trosko

South Haven – Vera A. Trosko, 89, of South Haven passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007, 15 months after suffering a stroke. She was born in Benld, Illinois to Steven and Veronica Richvalsky. She and her family moved to Flint, Michigan where Vera graduated from Flint Northern High School. Vera was a member of the Scott Club of South Haven and SWARM, a senior’s ministry of First Baptist Church of South Haven. In 1937 she married Peter Torsko and they raised four children.
Vera is survived by three of her children and there families. She was preceded in her death by her husband Pete in 1987 and son David in 1975. Children include Peter (Teri) Trosko of Fenton, Michigan; Fred (Brenda) Trosko of Okemos, Michigan and Pat
(Paul) Fitton of South Haven, Michigan. Vera has six grandchildren: Eric (Molly) Trosko of Grand Ledge, Michigan; Lynnette (Dan) Herman of Troy Michigan; Michele (Matt) Anderson of Troy, Michigan; and Stephanie, Lisa and Kyle Fitton of South Haven, Michigan; and six great grandchildren include Victoria, Sarah, and Alley Trosko of Grand Ledge; Colin and Maiya Herman of Troy, and Jacob Anderson of Troy .Extended family live around the country. Two special people in Vera’s life were Jeanette Halstead of Adrian, Michigan and Leona Trosko of Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Graveside services will be held in Monday, July 9, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at New Calvary Cemetery in Flint, Michigan with Father David Hannes officiating. A memorial/fellowship potluck will be held at First Baptish Church in South Haven at a later date.
