Carol May's Obituary
Carol M. Kellogg, 68, of South Haven died Tuesday, June 5 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born November 5, 1938 in Lansing, Michigan to Oliver and Flossie (Brendahl) Smith. Carol worked in home health care as a nurses aid.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her daughter, Carley Deschepper who died in 1995, a step son – Richard “Rick” Kellogg who died in 2006. A sister – Ellen and brother – Gerald also precedes her.
She is survived by her husband – Robert “Bob” Kellogg of South Haven. Two daughters – Tammy Nichols of Owasso, Michigan and Irene Lawhead of Portage, Michigan. One son – Eddie Lechner III of Owasso, Michigan. Three step sons – Bob (Yolonna Ramsey) of Niles, Michigan, David Kellogg of South Haven, and Doug Kellogg. of Dowagiac, Michigan. One step daughter – Jennifer Parcell of Mishawaka, Indiana. Daughter-in-law – Karen Gross of South Haven. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Two brothers – Charles Smith and Jim Smith both of Charlotte, Michigan. Three sisters – Barb Woodridge of Corona, California, Joyce Powers of Lansing, Michigan and Erma Ash of Sacramento, California.
Visitation will be Friday, June 8 from 2:30 – 3:30 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place at McDowell Cemetery at 4:00 P.M. in Casco Township with Pastor Steve Starks officiating.
