Norbert "Bud" Asche

Norbert W. “Bud” Asche age 77 of South Haven died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at his home. Bud was born October 16, 1929 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Norbert and Frieda (Bultman) Asche. Bud married Pauline Kasishke of May 3, 1947 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven. Bud worked at Bohn Aluminum for many years as a quantometer operator and yard foreman. Bud was a member of Hope Reformed Church of South Haven and the Masonic Cornerstone Lodge. Bud also enjoyed collecting antique cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents – Norbert Asche and Frieda Ott, son – William Asche in 1995, and a sister – Lorraine Asche.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Asche of South Haven, MI., One daughter- Barb (Bill) Pratt of South Haven, MI., One daughter-in-law – Nancy Asche of South Haven, MI. Three grandchildren - Gregory (Melissa) Pratt of Lawton, MI., Stephanie Tina (Tony) Bertuca of Coloma, MI., and Kristen Asche of Kalamazoo, MI. Four great grandchildren – Austin and Braden Bertuca, and Madison and Emma Pratt. Two sisters- Shirley Holmes and Yvonne Hazucha both of South Haven, MI. One brother – Bruce (Peggy) Ott of South Haven, MI.

Memorial services will be Monday, April 9, at 2:00 PM at Hope Reformed Church with Rev. Curry Pikkaart officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hope Reformed Church Building Fund or to South Haven Area Hospice.
